HASSE Russian Space School at Star City
Cooperate with the Russian Space Agency, HASSE students ventured into a winter wonderland of history, art, religion,
and most important of all, Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center at Star City on February 1st-10th , 2018.
HASSE students had a surprising welcome from cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov,
who conducted two spacewalks and Lieutenant-Colonels (retired) Aleksey Boroday,
a veteran Buran Space Shuttle test pilot.
Cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov greeted HASSE students with a warm message.
Salizhan encourages everyone to search for happiness. As mentioned by cosmonaut Salizhan,
HASSE students acquired knowledge to learn about ways to stay healthy in space,
explore the complicated design and multi-functional surface space in the space station,
build a tee-pee at the wilderness survival training session,
and operate Mir and Soyuz mocking and rendezvous using simulators.
These hands-on tasks allowed HASSE students to work as a team and communicate effectively with each other.
They also discovered their passion in life through these practices.
Cosmonaut Salizhan concluded his message to HASSE students by wishing all good luck.
He encourages HASSE students to aim high, work hard to follow your dreams.
That way, you have a happy and fulfilling life.
